We welcome you to the 21st Annual Online Learning Consortium International Conference. The conference program will offer a full complement of presentations that reflect the implications for the field of specific e-learning experience and practices. Keynote and plenary addresses, as well as pre-conference workshops, featured sessions, information sessions, Best-in-Track presentations, and Discovery presentations will address blended learning, issues of diversity, international applications of online learning, open educational resources, social networking, online learning and community colleges, and K-12 online education as well as other topics of common interest.

Who Should Attend?
This conference, which will provide the latest information on asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including higher education, continuing education, K-12 professionals, business, government, health care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations. It is especially designed to meet the needs of:

  • College-level faculty and administrators
  • Instructional technology and media professionals
  • Instructional designers
  • Trainers in public and private sector organizations


Attendee Demographics
Attendance at the 2014 Annual conference located in Orlando, FL attracted 2,000 onsite attendees and 2,000 virtual attendees from over 675 institutions, all 49 states, and 28 countries representing college level faculty and administrators, instructional technology professionals and instructional designers.  Specific details on institutions, states/territories, and countries represented at the Symposium are available from the Conference Services Manager.

  • Instructor at Maryville College, Maryville, TN.
  • Currently teaching English composition and freshman seminar on yoga.
  • Yin/yang: In addition to my fascination with useful technology, I love nature and am a certified Environmental Educator.

Attendee Checklist - Be fully prepared for a great conference experience by reviewing this checklist.

Onsite Attendees:

  • Download the Conference mobile app from the Program page. This will provide you full session descriptions. The printed Schedule-at-a-Glance that you will be provided onsite does not include session descriptions.
  • Purchase a  ticket for Thursday evening for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween (Magic Kingdom) or the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival at special conference prices (amend your registration to purchase your ticket).  Online ticket sales for the Disney evening events will suspend after Oct 7 - ticket purchases can be made onsite (as available) when you arrive during registration desk hours.
  • Sign up for the OLC Awards Luncheon  (amend your registration to add your luncheon ticket).
  • Hotel rooms are available at the Swan and Dolphin, but they are going fast. If you would like to add a night on either end of your trip, now is the time to book. Please note there is no availability for nights from Oct 18 - 21.
  • Join in the conversation – follow the Conference Social networking. Join us on Facebook, Twitter (@OLCToday and #olc15) and Linkedin.
  • Let your colleagues know you are attending the conference.
  • Review the program schedule prior to departure for Orlando; plan how you will use your time at the conference.
  • Familiarize yourself with our keynote speakers and the topics of their addresses.
