We welcome you to the 20th Annual Online Learning Consortium International Conference. The conference program will offer a full complement of presentations that reflect the implications for the field of specific e-learning experience and practices. Keynote and plenary addresses, as well as pre-conference workshops, featured sessions, information sessions, Best-in-Track presentations, and poster presentations will address blended learning, issues of diversity, international applications of online learning, open educational resources, social networking, online learning and community colleges, and K-12 online education as well as other topics of common interest.

Who Should Attend?
This conference, which will provide the latest information on asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including higher education, continuing education, K-12 professionals, business, government, health care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations. It is especially designed to meet the needs of:

  • College-level faculty and administrators
  • Instructional technology and media professionals
  • Instructional designers
  • Trainers in public and private sector organizations

Attendee Demographics
Attendance at the 2013 Annual conference located in Orlando, FL attracted over 2,000 onsite attendees and 1,500 virtual attendees from over 675 institutions, all 50 states, and 29 countries representing college level faculty and administrators, instructional technology professionals and instructional designers.  Specific details on institutions, states/territories, and countries represented at the Symposium are available from the Conference Services Manager.

Onsite Attendees:

  • Download the Conference mobile app from the Program page. This will provide you full session descriptions. The printed Schedule-at-a-Glance that you will be provided onsite does not include session descriptions.
  • Purchase a  ticket for Thursday evening for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween (Magic Kingdom) or the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival at special conference prices (amend your registration here to purchase your ticket).  
  • Sign up for the OLC Awards Luncheon  (amend your registration here to add your luncheon ticket).
  • Hotel rooms are available at the Swan and Dolphin, but they are going fast. If you would like to add a night on either end of your trip, now is the time to book.
  • Join in the conversation – follow the Conference Social networking. Join us on Facebook, Twitter (@OLCToday and #aln14) and Linkedin.
  • Let your colleagues know you are attending the conference.
  • Review the program schedule prior to departure for Orlando; plan how you will use your time at the conference.
  • Familiarize yourself with our keynote speakers and the topics of their addresses.

Virtual Attendees:

  • Watch the Virtual Attendee Training video (date posted TBD). The training session will provide important information on how to access the live and on-demand streamed sessions, presentations, and supplemental materials. A complete review of how to test your system and access the webcast seamlessly will be covered in the training session. Registered attendees will receive an email later in October with the link for the training session.
  • Look for a separate email with Access instructions. Read that email thoroughly and bookmark it for future reference.
  • Review the streamed program schedule ahead of time and plan which sessions you want to watch live vs. on-demand.

  • Let your colleagues know you are attending the conference virtually.
