Abstract

Best practice in developing a model for the blended course design

Extended Abstract

As an ongoing commitment to pursuing educational excellence at William Paterson University (WPU), we want to provide transformative opportunities for faculty moving from traditional to blended courses. There is a tremendous need for assisting faculty in designing effective blended courses. The focus of this presentation is to explain how WPU has successfully developed a Blended Learning Boot Camp that models the best practices we want instructors to employ in their own courses. In addition, the presenter will describe how we have integrated an instructional design mentorship program into the follow-up with Boot Camp attendees. Lessons learned during the first blended learning boot camp will be shared.
