David Kuntz will discuss the power of adaptive learning, analyzing how teachers can use emerging technology to differentiate instruction for students in a blended environment.

Extended Abstract

David Kuntz, VP of Research & Adaptive Learning at Knewton, will explain the impact of the shift from print to digital learning materials in education. He will analyze how this shift enables adaptive learning, discuss the power of data to empower teachers and tailor lessons for students in a blended environment, and share examples of how offering a more personalized learning experience has improved student outcomes. David will discuss why adaptive learning works particularly well in a blended environment, where it can supplement instructors' lessons.

Lead Presenter
David Kuntz David Kuntz has been involved in every aspect of the large-scale educational assessment business. Over the span of his 20-year career, he has held senior positions at Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). He also created the first automated test assembly algorithm and system for the current LSAT, the first web-based computer-adaptive test delivery system, the first online AP practice program using real AP graders, and the first large-scale web-based portfolio scoring and management system. He has been awarded five assessment-related patents. David holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Brown, an M.A. in Philosophy from Rutgers, and an MBA from Wharton.
