Want to fine tune your existing online/blended course and/or take it to a new level? If so, come to this poster session and learn more about the new OLC Advanced Online Teaching Certificate Program, which is based on the OLC pillars of quality in online education—learning effectiveness, scale, faculty and student satisfaction, and access.

Extended Abstract

The OLC Advanced Online Certificate Program helps educators fine tune existing online/blended courses using the OLC pillars of quality in online education—learning effectiveness, scale, faculty and student satisfaction, and access. The advanced online certificate consists of a three-week asynchronous foundational course where participants will complete a course evaluation, develop a course revision plan and connect with peers for ongoing support. In addition, there will be three follow up synchronous sessions where participants will learn more about active learning activities and strategies, enhance their existing course with the use of multimedia or social media components with consideration for common accessibility standards, and develop specific assessment tools for measuring course learning outcomes with consideration for accreditation expectations. The advanced certificate program concludes with a final presentation of the revised course for peer review. Come learn about the program directly from the OLC team.
