The CCC OEI is a statewide initiative intended to improve access to and the quality of online education in California’s 113 community colleges. Increasing access to resources to improve instructional quality and facilitating student success through the provision of various support services are just two elements of this ambitious effort. Accomplishments and challenges to date will be discussed, as well as plans to re-think outdated systems that ultimately limit the potential of online course delivery to assist student in meeting their educational goals.
