Understand how the nuances of the OPM market in order to select the best partner to meet your online needs.

Extended Abstract

As a growing number of higher education institutions have faced challenging financial situations, have developed an interest in exploring new online programs, or have lacked the expertise or risk profile to develop online programs, there has been an increased interest in pursuing alternative models with outside providers, commonly referred to as Online Program Management (OPM) providers. While these outsourced partnerships can take on a variety of forms, Eduventures is defining OPM providers as companies partnering with institutions to offer an end-to-end bundle of services to manage the entire program spanning across the student lifecycle from recruitment through enrollment to retention. Eduventures has been closely tracking the OPM market over the past three years as a growing number of institutions have turned to OPM providers to increase online enrollment growth. This presentation will include insights from the whole of our research, including:

- Eduventures OPM Market Overview, including overall market size, market growth, market dynamics, and market segmentation of providers
- Survey results conveying institutional perceptions and experience working with OPM providers
- Insight into what institutional leaders need to understand about working with OPM providers and how to generate mutually beneficial partnerships
