Abstract

Join in for a "recorded live" episode of TOPcast, a podcast for leaders in online/blended learning.

Extended Abstract

During the past year OLC has promoted a new podcast for online/blended learning professionals, TOPcast: The Teaching Online Podcast co-hosted by Tom Cavanagh and Kelvin Thompson from UCF's Center for Distributed Learning. During this session, TOPcast will be introduced by OLC's Chief Knowledge Management Officer, Karen Pedersen, and then session participants will join in with a "recorded live" episode based upon crowd-sourced topics suggested by leaders in our professional community. (To suggest a topic NOW for this session, please visit: http://bit.ly/vote_TOPcastLive.) Following the recording, session participants will have the opportunity to dialogue with the OLC and UCF presenters about the episode and about the future of TOPcast and its place within our community as a venue for generating dialogue. (TOPcast episodes are available on the OLC website or by searching iTunes. The OLC website contains content resources associated with each episode as well as interaction opportunities for each topic.)
