Extended Abstract

How does your institution prevent cheating during online exams? This session will address key challenges with online testing – such as confirming student identity, blocking Internet searches, or preventing students from using a second device.

For proctored environments, you’ll see how LockDown Browser prevents students from printing, copying, and accessing other applications during online exams. You’ll then learn how Respondus Monitor uses webcam and video technology to deter cheating in non-proctored settings.

A running theme is how institutions can significantly reduce assessment costs through the use of technology. We’ll share best practices from several of the 900 institutions that use these applications.

Lead Presenter

Nick Laboda is a Sr. Account Manager with Respondus, Inc. Over the past 10 years, Nick has led over 100 training sessions on online testing technologies for educational institutions.
