Abstract

Gathering, visualizing, interpreting, and acting upon combined student LMS/SIS data to drive student success outcomes. 

Extended Abstract

Learn how to gather, visualize, interpret, and act upon combined student LMS/SIS data. Build intelligent alerts, notifications, and updates so that all stakeholders are connected and informed. See how a centralized student notes tool can facilitate cross campus collaboration to remediate student falter and support success outcomes. A case study and interview will discuss conceptualizing, planning, implementing, and sustaining the tools and practices described above.

Lead Presenter

Ed Clougherty, is co-founder, platform designer, and legal counsel to Copley Systems. Ed has spent the last 5 years working with the team at Copley Systems to design a platform which aggregates, interprets, and visualizes student data to engage all the student success stakeholders as well as working with those stakeholders to implement solutions and best practices.

Notes: 

Learn techniques and practices to monitor student engagement and progress, decide through human and algorithmic analysis which students need attention, send kudos and effective calls to actions that students will respond to, and track and memorialiize single and multiple intervenor efforts through issue resolution. Informed by and composed of multiple disciplines ranging from computer science and social media to effective counseling and intervention techniques, you will come away with new perspectives on issue identification, communication and intervention strategies and tactics that work in both the asynchronous and synchronous environments.
