Abstract

TOPIC: Immediacy in Learner Integrity

The practice of IMMEDIACY can boost the level of psychological deterrent in your school’s learner authentication and testing integrity practices. When students recognize that immediate action will be taken when abhorrent behavior is immediately detected they will be more likely to exhibit ethical behavior. In this session learn about how new technology allows for immediate reporting of breaches of security with learner authentication. Participants will also explore the benefits of a live proctor immediately detecting and reporting inappropriate behavior rather than a recorded and later reviewed practice. The benefits of students being able to immediately schedule testing sessions across multiple modalities and proctors being able to immediately communicate with faculty members will also be discussed. Participants will be asked to share good practices in learner authentication and testing integrity.
