Extended Abstract

How feedback is captured from students is broken. End-of-course surveys have no long-term effects on the improvement of instruction. Students report valuing feedback opportunities only when they feel it will affect their current course. There is a better way to capture timely data on your blended courses. Become familiar with the formative feedback literature and how DropThought (Winner of OLC's 2015 Teacher Tank) can provide insights into blended course design on specific assignments and activities throughout the school term. DropThought offers free LMS integrations, dashboarding of real-time student comments, and optional, enterprise-grade text analytics.
