Tired of that Bland Diet: Add Zest to the Final Project!

Loretta Driskel (Online Learning Consultant, USA)

Institutional Level:
Audience Level:
Session Type:
Technology Test Kitchen Demonstration
Plaza Foyer
Session Duration:
50 Minutes
Concurrent Session 4

Do your eyes glaze over after consuming dozens and dozens of final projects (bet you thought I was going to say donuts!), typically reports or essays submitted by your students at the end of each semester? Your students are probably just as tired of the same old diet.

Participants at this session will try out the recipes for three alternatives to the bland diet we use to have students show and share their knowledge. Digital tools for infographics, brochures, and blogs are often free and easy to use, and they are all excellent ways to add zest to the final project for you and your students. And a well designed assignment will allow them to creatively demonstrate their new knowledge as well.
